I Am NOT In Love: A Sonnet
One thing I am not is in love, you see-
Play me no romantic comedy, please!
Gift me no chocolate, sweet drinks, or cheeses
Spare the mellifluous charmed melodies.
There will be no warm spring rain embraces
No big dance number or marks or places.
No two person dance routine in the rain-
To me all the characters look the same.
When stormy nights come, and stars do not shine
I will not be alone wishing your mine.
Maybe I will, or maybe I already do
Maybe I am in love-
and it’s with you.

Dawn
This is a short piece I wrote in the spring of 2021 as a simple exercise in imagery on a Saturday morning.
Summer Storm
A poem I wrote as another exercise in imagery and the romance of summer storms.
Deer in the Rain
A comedic poem based on an actual real life encounter I've had with wildlife.
Bonded by Ink
A spoken word piece inspired by a very important milestone birthday and a very special gift I was given to celebrate it. Dedicated to my sister.
